Within the metal treatment industry phosphates are most commonly used in electroplating and aluminium brightening systems, (the PHOSBRITE range), and for the phosphating of ferrous metals. In addition phosphates can also be used in the cleaning and preparation of the metal surface prior to the application of other surface coatings such as paints where phosphates also have their uses.
