Thermphos produces sodium tripolyphosphates (STPP) in the form of a white powder and granules being an important raw material for household and industrial cleaning products. Thermphos' process makes it possible to manufacture producttypes of highest purity with different combinations of chemical and physical properties. The major use of the various producttypes with different bulk densities and specific hydration rates are in the manufacture of powder/tablets and liquid detergents and cleaners.
Product description and uses:
Thermphos N grades:
Uses: detergent slurries. Owing to their hollow bead form N type grades are suitable for dry admixure to detergents and cleaners.
Thermphos S grades:
Uses: detergent slurrries
The N and S grades are distinguished by their different rates of hydration and bulk densities. The choice of Thermphos grade is governed by the process used in the detergent production plant in question.
Thermphos SPRII:
The SPRII can be employed in the detergent slurry. This grade is a refinement of our establised products with defined reproducible hydration proporties.
Depending on the production plant usedm the incorporation of the SPRII can improve the application proporties.
Thermphos L grades:
The lightweight L grades are used in spray-mixing and dry-mixing processes for the manufacture of detergents and cleaners. Owing to their large internal surface area and high energy content active detergents and water are quickly bound.
In the manufacturing process yields detergents with a high bulk density this can be reduced by admixing the L grade.
Since the processes mentioned above preclude hydroly-sis, the content of pentasodium triphosphate remains unchanged.
Thermphos NW grades:
The particular advantage of the NW grades lies in their excellent ability to dissolved and suspended in water without forming any lumps. This property is also imparted to solid end products, e.g. dishwashing detergents, which have to be rinsed out of metering devices quickly and completely.
Owing to its good suspensibility in aquous systems containing surfactants, The NW fine is eminently suitable for the manufacture of liquid detergents.
Thermphos FH grade:
Ther particular advantage of the FH grade lies in the fast hydration ability. This improves the laundry detergent tablet desintegration performance without reducing the tablet strength.
Thermphos GH grades:
Heavy density, free-flowing granules with good strength. Partially hydrated. High purity and medium/ high Phase I.
Dry mixing of automatic dishwashing compounds and industrial cleaners. Suitable for density improvement of detergent and for manufacturing of diswashing tablets.
Thermphos NA grade:
The particular advantage of the Thermphos NA lies in its excellent ability to be dissolved and suspended in water without forming any lumps and gives a transparent solution.
The NA grade also dissolves an alkaline solution resulting in a transparent solution without solid precipitates.
